Hope Foundation Donation
Growing
Hope is the foundation that supports the children in treatment at Ryan's
oncologist's office, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of Northern Virginia.
Every single penny donated is used for the
children being treated in the office. Not a single cent goes to overhead
or costs or salaries. One of the directors of the foundation is also employed
by the doctors to help the children cope day-to-day with their serious
illnesses. The money contributed does not go to her salary.
The money is used to buy crafts for kids to do during their often day
long visits. It buys televisions and VCRs. It is used to provide cab
fare to children who don't have rides to radiation. It pays for a family
picnic, a day at the circus, and an office trip to Kings Dominion for
all the families - and so much more. Ryan would LOVE to be the reason
that his buddies at the clinic are smiling just a little extra.
